Profile Aerodrink and Computer mount

Ok, fresh off a fit issue with my wife’s Syntace Jetstream and her weird stem, I was wondering if I could avoid another after purchase fit problem:

Since I am looking to buy an Airstryke (silver, in case you have one to sell), I was wondering the Aerodrink bottle would interfere with their computer mount. Anyone know?

The problem, as you know, is that the Airstryke can’t be adjusted laterally to make room for the bottle. But, I think it is safe to assume that Profile’s bottle will fit in the Profile Airstryke bars. You’re running roadie drop bars, I assume?

The computer mount shouldn’t be a problem, because you can slide it out toward the end of the bars, past the bottle (onto the upturned part) but before where the hands rest. I have my Profile computer mount set up on my C2’s that way, and my Profile bottle fits nicely into the gap. The computer mount is on the bars just far enough forward to allow the bottle to fit, and is just back of where I rest my hands.

Yes I am riding drop bars. Which leads me to another question: are Airstykes considered shorties? I am quite tall with a long torso but I understand the flaw of using regular clip-ons on a road bike.

Also, when I meant computer mount I was thinking of the Profile bridge that spans the bar. I totally forgot about the mount that came with my computer. That’s precisely what I am doing while trying to fit the Jetstream on my wife’s C2’s.

Thanks for the response.

Airstrykes aren’t “shorties”, per se, but they’ll work just fine for lots of people.

BTW – the computer mount I was thinking of is this one:

I have it on my C2s, and it works great. There’s a little picture there that shows how to mount it on Airstrykes and still use the bottle.
