OK, my step daughter is graduating form SCAD in photography major with a minor in advertising. While she has talent in her creative fields (not just parental pride here, she has won a few competitions and had stuff purchased for permanent collections) her job search skills are - how shall we put this - less than stellar.
When she is home on March break before he final quarter, we are nailing down her website, getting resumes drafted, etc.
So, any advice on where she should be looking. The school jobs database is pretty lacking fro the most part, and your general job search sites are really pathetic. Does anyone know of jobs/interships coming up that she could apply for? Getting her to apply is a challenge, as she is still looking for that perfect job, and she is a bit risk adverse, so hasn’t been taking shots at things for which she is mostly qualified for, feeling her experience lack will make applying a waste of time.
Just looking for networks here. A long shot I know.
