Curious, where did “The ideal sleeping temperature is 65” come from?
My sleep has been severely compromised after getting into a serious relationship. When I sleep naked or with a light sheet cover, the now spouse has 2-3 blankets + pajamas. She’s always cold and I’m more or less always at least a little too hot. We’re currently able to coexist after splurging for silk bedding (significantly cooler to touch for me, but “nice smooth feel” for her so she’s ok with it), and a fancy down blanket for her so she let’s me crack the window open without freezing herself.
The one thing I’m noticing is that it’s the last few hours of the night/morning when I typically get the deepest sleep (just a feel based observation, no devices used) and it’s the hardest for me to NOT sleep during that time, and I even get cold without a cover myself. Really wish I could somehow move that time period a few hours back so I could fall and stay deep asleep when it’s bed time rather than when it’s almost wake up time.
