Problem Solved: Anyone from trainerroad on here?

I need to figure out why my power level is way off. My PM reads a full 100 + watts below what is displayed on the screen. I am using a powertap wheel, calibrating it each time, the numbers match after calibrating, then I pedal lightly and the PT reads 74 and the screen shows 186 etc.

You can pm if you want.

I haven’t used TrainerRoad in a while but is it reading virtual power instead of your power meter?

*edit

After re-reading the question my initial response was stupid.

So your head unit displays a different number than TR? I would go with the previous poster, and check that virtual power isn’t enabled.

I don’t think so. If it is, wouldnt it show up under devices?

I always go to devices and it shows the pt, after I spin the wheel to wake it up. I will double check.

Ugh!
Thanks. That was it-at least I think it was. I did have it checked. I thought it would automatically default to the powermeter vs. the virtual power. Thanks for your help. I knew it had to be something like that, but wasn’t sure where to find it.
