Does anyone have problems keeping the bike secured in place while riding it on the Computrainer?
I rode for an 1.5hrs on Saturday and 4hrs last night. When I got off on Saturday, I noticed the lock nuts were beginning to back off and the bike wasn’t very solid in place. Last night, I could feel the bike moving around beneath me and then the shifting began to jump all over the place. I had to get off the bike 3 times to lock it back into place. I mean, I am putting some squeeze on the bike when I secure it, and it’s not as if I set it up so that it just sits there.
I have not notice that…but I bet a little bit of duct tape can solve your problem.
I’ve been noticing my rpm and HR sensors will go out on occassion. And the rpm sensor specifically is not the greatest. that magnet has to practically hit it with each pas to register. (I’m guessing it needs a new battery.) But the HR monitor is new and has no excuse!!
You’re not tightening down the adjusting knobs enough to being with…
So your suggestion is that I break out a pipe wrench then?
I usually tighten mine in until I can barely see the frame start to compress, and then another 3/4 turn or so. I don’t think it’s unusual for the bike to be slightly looser after a long-ish ride, especially if you’re not the lightest person, but I just re-tighten/check before each ride.
