Pro tri news: The good, the bad, the banter

What are the odds they insinuate something about the winners again on their next pod, given how it went

No need to bet. Just check out thr Roth thread.

I’m actually curious to hear what Mark has to say. It certainly wasn’t the day he was expecting.

a nice training day with a good appearance fee pay check. No way Kat was going to the well at Roth

Anyone willing to be coached by Sutton clearly has compromised ethics and morals. Yes - I know this includes some ‘untouchable’ greats. I question them all…..

Pod not out yet…did it get stuck with someone in Legal? :stuck_out_tongue:

Maybe not fully going to the well but wasn’t an easy training day. Running on fumes after GI issues is not easy for the body. She crosses the line at 09:05:00 and looks pretty wrecked. Medical team with here for a while.

Plus she passed Pohle shortly before the finish. Pohle was hurting but she wasn’t standing still. Matthews had a legit bad day and I fully believe she squeezed every drop out of this lemon.

She was throwing up on the bike.

getting worried now… @Kyleglass91 checking testing pools, Mark M licking wounds for the bad performance from Kat, Pat didn’t get any $$$ as his athletes didn’t perform on the day…
No pod for the whole week!
Used to be more reliable than TTH…tables are turning

Quite the colorful imagination. None of those things are true. But we will be back on Monday.

The problem is the Kyle had six weddings to attend this week.

Heaven forbid we have a life outside the podcast and triathlon  especially coming from people on the platform that says we “take ourselves too seriously”

it was a tongue in cheek comment, you’re taking it too seriously mate

How does one afford 6 wedding in the same Summer. Sounds like you need fewer friends.

Not to mention your own platform now

Loving Mark’s banter, but not recognizing ST banter. :star_struck:

There are thousand’s deeply disappointed that the PTN hoods could not find a slot to record an ‘episode’ this week after such a ‘feature filled’ Roth with both men’s and women’s races offering scope for ‘discussion’ and insights for the rest of the season.

There’s no doubt that Laidlow plus fellow swim-bike disruptors could ignite the Kona playbook. I fear that, even with Schomburg, without Bogen, the Norges will ro-ro back and keep the gap manageable/catch predictable. But there will be internal dynamics at play in the Norge camp, to **Blummenfelt’**s detriment. If Lange can return to his 2024 Kona bike form, don’t write him off even if Stornes is flying and Blummenfelt isn’t barfing.

The remarkable WPro result offers less for this season anyway. Siffert is not racing Kona but has a start in Nice. I suspect she will not go there. When will we next see her in a competitive race? Maybe T100 Vancouver (assume Waugh, Knibb, GTB and Derron (NB win and KQ same day in Thun) all there) and then T100 Dubai (will that be happening even if the Iranians agree a “deal” that the USA is so keen on?) let alone Qatar. LCB solid race, unprepared: rolling on at D-7, eclipsed by Siffert but still fastest ever (8:16) and a great 2:50 run. Replicate that bike-run in Kona and noone’s running her down. Davies (who is KQ) on track for a top 10 at Kona. Matthews sick from mid-way through bike and ran a poor 2:54 - an unusual ‘fail’ - deductions unclear. Not in the race, but first Philipp withdraws from Roth (cos not recovered after Hamburg (8:12)) and then Loevseth DNSs Swansea - same reason (8:11).

Keep in mind that was at 12m. So in theory everyone in that group bikes and runs a little slower right?

my hot take the ironman “pro” series is the new challenge series.
just stop doing 70,3 pro series races when the big Ironmans are on.
or at least let Gustav enter Swansea its not like the field is too big with 29 male pros and 19 female pros .
