Pro cyclist/filmmaker Jamie Paolinetti on Active radio

This is only sort of tri-related, but it should be good:

Today on Active.com’s “Sports You Do Show” we welcome longtime U.S. pro cyclist and filmmaker Jamie Paolinetti, who has produced a new film called “The Hard Road” (available on DVD from www.thehardroad.com), which chronicles the 2001 season of the Netzero pro cycling team and its exploits on the U.S. pro circuit.

Jamie was a rider/coach for the team, and the film is a frank look at what life is like for a pro bike racer on the U.S. circuit. It’s a good look at what pro cycling life is like in the trenches, at the other end of the pyramid from Lance and Cipo.

Tune in at 12 noon Pacific – and send your questions in. It’s all free.

I saw the movie a couple of weeks ago when it was shown in Encinitas. Very inspiring look at what it is really like to try to make it in the pro cycling ranks. Great race footage as well!! If you get a chance to see it, or get the DVD, take a look.

Here is Jamie’s new film, http://www.prothemovie.com/default.aspx?layout=home. The Hard Road is a great flick, I can’t wait to see this. I just ordered it.
