The next two stages are going to be awesome!
Today’s stage was a blast. We spent most of the day up on the mountain at the finish. The only uphill finish took its toll. Everything got blasted just under 1K with the rear riders hurting, straggling to finish. Gunnison was packed and from talking to friends (and my 6-year-old son) who were in CB the sprint down Elk Ave. was insane (see video). Tomorrow’s stage will be amazing, and seriously painful. Its going to be quiet around the Gunnison Valley when the circus leaves town. What a great event.
