Remember all those allies in the coalition of the willing? Don’t forget about Poland!
The reason there is a Union Jack was because Kerry was visiting British troops, not American troops.
The picture is a year old, not from his recent visit.
i.e., this is a hoax.
There are a lot of things wrong with this post, usual right wing freak show smear.
So, to summarize:
-
Kerry went to Viet Nam.
-
the President didn’t.
-
Kerry went to Iraq.
-
The President has to arrive unannounced in the middle of the night in a spiral.
We were supposed to be greeted as liberators! -
Kerry’s daughter wrote for Futurama
-
Bush’s children were asked to leave Argentina. Argentina!!! They let the Nazis hang out.
Anyone else persona non grata in Argentina?
Things Art was wrong about:
- Jews in Iran
- Oil imports from Middle East
- Iraqi wmd
- Iranian wmd
- Pakistani wmd
- global warming
- Victoria Plame
and now: - Kerry in Iraq
Things Are was right about
- The Euro vs. the $
and he was right only temporarily.
Thank you for the propaganda Art!
Here is another photo from the Baghdad embassy mess hall from Christmas day, 2006, showing the same Christmas decorations:
.
Dude. You really know how to take the fun out of a thread.
Lighten up Francis. We all know that Art’s a right-wing nut.

Here is another picture from the same person showing the same location in the Mess in the Embassy in Baghdad while holding today’s newspaper:

Blowing up your whacko theories is just too easy sometimes.
Next you will be telling me that Rove was the source of the Plame identity leak. Oh, that’s right, you already did.

.
It now appears he has lots of company.
It looks like the others at his table in the first picture just went for seconds.
Hmm, I guess Kerry decided to dye his hair and change into a suit for dinner. Amazing what you can do with PhotoShop!

What are you talking about the picture of the person holding the paper is not Kerry, its someone there today or yesterday. Kerry was there like a week ago. The idea Art was showing off was that the hall is decorated exactly the same in both pictures, look at lots of small details (I like the tipping over small tree myself) but there is enough evidence to show that the hall is decorated the same in both pictures and since this one has todays/yesterdays paper, that must mean it is from this year not last like some claim. Now yes it is possible the guy holding the paper was photoshopped in but that is going along ways (2nd picture different angle from last year) remove what ever was in the original pic, and add this guy. I don’t think Art cares enough about us to do that much work.
the picture of the person holding the paper is not Kerry,<
Correct, in retrospect.
Now yes it is possible the guy holding the paper was photoshopped in but that is going along ways…<
The guy looks to be wearing a suit. Wonder how many suits they see in the Green Zone. However, I’m not suggesting Art photoshopped it.
Who cares when the picture was taken? It still doesn’t make any kind of point, like Art seemed to think it did when he opened this thread.
I’m still trying to figure out the point but thought it was to show how great it was for one of our elected officials willing to actually spend some time with those doing the fighting.
I think Art was paying Kerry a compliment but I may be wrong.

I think he was trying show that the troops were so mad at Carry for his bad joke that they would not eat with him.
Its both absurd and stupid, but I think that was his point. The only people who seem to get upset about his joke gone awray were the dump republicans. As a smart conservative I saw it for what it was a lame joke about the President.
Are you sure that isn’t the guy from Law & Order?
Man, you are tough sell. First I get accused of posting a fraudulent picture, probably from England a year earlier. I then produce a second picture of the same hall in the same embassy in Baghdad showing the same Christmas decorations and the same flags in the background but including a subject holding today’s newspaper, and this still isn’t enough.
You think I work for Reuters or something?
To anyone who things that the troops despise Kerry because of a “joke,” you must be very young or have a short memory. The troops in that hall earn and are proud of their medals. They don’t throw them over the Whitehouse fence.

Well is 39 young? what the hell were we talking about?
Ok I have a short memory.
EDIT:
Wait, aren’t most of the troops very young?

At least he earned one.
I can promise you most of the troops know about his throwing his medals over the Whitehouse fence and his false 1973 Senate testimony accusing US troops of routinely committing all manner of heinous war crimes.
If you think many of the troops think this is a guy to eat lunch with, you are mistaken.
Yes, unfortunately, 39 is young, and it gets younger every year.
“I can promise you most of the troops know…”
I think you vastly overestimate the political savvy of “most of the troops.” These kids are exactly that,…kids. They generally have about the same level of political knowledge and savvy as other 18-22 year-olds. Regardless, if a DV comes to visit, and he wants to sit with troops, troops are picked out and they sit and have lunch with him. Generally not too much choice involved in the matter.
Kerry poked his lip with a plastic spork while he was over there eating and put himself in for another “earned” purple heart.
