ENDEAVOR SPORTS, INC. TO HOST INDOOR WINTER TIME TRIAL SERIES
LIVERMORE CALIFORNIA, Endeavor Sports, Northern California’s leading multisport training facility announces that it will host a 2006 Winter Time Trial Series from January 3, 2006 through March 28, 2006 in its CompuTrainer cycling studio. This BYOB Indoor Time Trial, will be part of the CompuTrainer/EBRA Championship Indoor 10k Time Trial Series. The Electronic Bike Racing Association (EBRA), a division of RacerMate, Inc., the Seattle manufacturer of the CompuTrainer electronic bicycle trainer/simulator, is holding events around the world. This series is called the CompuTrainer/EBRA World Championship Indoor 10K Time Trial Series. The Official CompuTrainer Time Trial is a 10 Kilometer race on rolling terrain with grades to 3%. Riders race on their own bikes on eight laboratory matched CompuTrainers. The riders feel exactly the same loads they would feel on the road at the same speed, grade and gear.
In an indoor time trial the riders line up side by side facing a large screen showing the course profile, each rider’s position on the course, and each rider’s race data including distance, elapsed time, and instantaneous/average/peak speed and power. After the race the results from all the events will be posted so that the participants will know where they stand in the comparison to all the other racers.
In addition to the Computrainer cycling studio, Endeavor Sports has coaches on staff certified in USA Cycling and a free class entitled “INTRODUCTION TO COMPUTRAINER” in October, November and December for anybody who is interested in participating in the time trial series. The center is located in the heart of the Tri-Valley and has easy access to open water swim venues, running paths, and miles of open roads in the country with wide bike lanes, for group swims, rides, and runs.
