Partisan Gap in Obama Job Approval Widest in Modern Era
April 2, 2009
For all of his hopes about bipartisanship, Barack Obama has the most polarized early job approval ratings of any president in the past four decades. The 61-point partisan gap in opinions about Obama’s job performance is the result of a combination of high Democratic ratings for the president – 88% job approval among Democrats – and relatively low approval ratings among Republicans (27%).
So…pretty much the smart folks who get it and are willing to work dont like him, as they are able to make it on their own. The plebians and ignorant prefer Obama, cause he claims he will make it better for them.
Well, I’m smart and like to work and I like Obama.
for now.
Not surprised, but am wondering when he will quit getting a pass on so much. There's a big disconnect between what he says and what his admin is doing. There are some here who should be surprised, those who thought he would be centrist. At any rate, I agree with The Economist's point that so far he has been bipartisan in word, but like the early Bush days, has only invited the other side to support his legislation.
In terms of bipartisanship, it’s pretty significant to come out and say that the Justice Department bungled the Ted Stevens so badly that they are not only throwing out the verdict but that they aren’t going to retry the case.
Also, there are going to be people who hate Obama no matter what he does in terms of bipartisanship. I saw a jeep in the parking lot today with Calvin pissing on ‘Osama Obama’ and I suspect the driver of that vehicle isn’t going to like the guy no matter how well he does in office.
So…pretty much the smart folks who get it and are willing to work dont like him, as they are able to make it on their own. The plebians and ignorant prefer Obama, cause he claims he will make it better for them.
Why do you hate people that simply want a new kitchen?
If I were smart, I probably wouldn’t bother responding to your fingertip diarrhea, but I do work damn hard for a living, and like the common pleb, support our president.
I thought the so-called Liberals were the elitist snobs. What do you have against the common folk, lumping them in with the ignorant?
