I found a local bike store that sells the transition comp for $2799, and I was also looking at an 08 P2C ultegra for 2500… Besides the fit, what would be a better choice?

Better, like what bike would be better to get as far as performance for those prices?

I was serious, and so was msuguy. You can’t ask these types of questions without expecting these answers.
The right bike is the one that meets his needs, of which he has defined zero.
Seriously, both are great bikes (in '07, each frame won the Ironman…Macca on a Transition, Crissie on a P2C). Aerodynamically we’re splitting hairs here. The better bike will be the one that fits you best; you don’t want a ton of spacers on the Transition, or to not be able to get low enough on the P2C. Look at Dan’s stack/reach tables to see which is the better match. The best frame is the one that helps you get the most out of your engine.
