I don’t know the order but no way Lance wins. He needs to be a team player if he wants help from Levi and Contador in the Giro.
Lance does okay, finishes in the top twenty.
Levi keeps the yellow jersey.
and …
Floyd Landis wins by a surprising large margin. He immediately begins collecting money for his legal defense.
Nope, team player stuff goes out the window for ITT’s. Everyone goes full tilt unless you are a sprinter. Plus, its only 15 miles…Lance is going to kill it today and then pull Levi on Sunday for him to win.

There’s one thing I don’t understand about cycling.
If a team has several strong cyclist how do they decide who will be going for the yellow?
Do they all work as a team and then let time trials separate them or do they clearly work for one guy?
P.S. Newbie to cycling
Yeh it’s only 15 miles, it would tough to get 30 seconds. I still think Levi will beat him though and that will serve him well later this year.
I’ve been following cycling for a few years and I still don’t always get it. It seems to depend on the course, who’s on form and egos.
hah, they don’t always
readp up on Lemond/Hinault
if the team manager is the boss he probably just picks or dictates the strategy, but if you have some huge egos on the team you never know.

I don’t see Levi not winning it.
Question?
In the start list Zabriskie will go off in Position 4th last and Armstrong goes off 3rd last but the Overall Standings have it the other way around. All other starters in the top 12 are in order but those two. Any reason why…
To keep Lance from being able to pace off his teammate Chris Horner who starts just 2 minutes ahead. It’s not unusual for the time trial start orders to get jumbled so that two teammates don’t start one after the other.

I think you are right, Lance and Levi will be close, likely within 30 seconds BUT you CAN gain significant time on the rivals, much more than 30 seconds. Remember the 2005 TdF. Lance best Ullrich but 1:08 and that was only 19 KM or 11.8 miles. Everyone remembers to “pass” when Lance caught and passed ulli but most forget that Jan put his head through the rear windscreen of the car he was motorpacing with the day before. Also, most think Ullrich had a terrible day - terrible only by his standards…he was still 12th out of 190 riders!

I’m hoping for Zabriskie or Rogers. Probably Levi though
My prediction?
Gary Douville - Team Platinum - will post a time better than the pro “time cut” riding in the amateur “pay to play” event
I don’t see Levi not winning it.
Trying to decipher your double negative sentence.
Double negatives cancel each other out, so your sentence now becomes:
I see Levi winning it.
Ah, better, I understand. :^)
No way I don’t see Levi never not winning it. Yes, it’s a QUAD !
Honestly, I’d be very excited to see Lance win it.
I agree that Lance “could” win it, but he won’t. As mentioned above, he is working the ToC for support later in the season and therefore needs to not beat Levi. I agree that Dave Z is going to win w/Levi coming in second. I honestly think Lance is doing a little bit of sandbagging of the GC teams and when it comes Grand Tour time, the beast will be unleashed.
