Hi guys,
I just picked up a wired powertap from REI (love that 20% off Memorial Day sale!), and was hoping to use it with my Garmin 301 heart rate strap. It says “coded” on the back, but when I get into menu 5 on the powertap, and search, it just shows “learning…” and backs out after a few minutes… The ID# is 00003 if that means anything. Hopefully I don’t need to buy a new heart rate strap (or gasp! a 305 or 310XT) due to budget being spent on this wheel.
