I just got a call from a friend who owns a bike shop asking if I want a Powertap at a deal. SInce I have two already… I am not in the market. But, I asked him if it was ok if I posted it here for you guys to see.
He said- Yep. He has 24 or 32 hole, brand new, no computer. Hub only for $650.
If you want one, PM me and I’ll give you the info. to contact him.

Competitive Cyclist has PT wheels (not just hub) starting at $650 without computer.

Actually, CC has a PT wheel at $599, but it’s not the SL+…in fact, it’s not even wireless. The exact same SL+ hub is priced at $900 at CC, so this is a very good deal. Why piss on his posting?
BTW, Walmart for has complete bikes (not just a wheel) starting at under $200 without a computer.

Sorry, but apples-to-apples, $650 for the hub beats $900 at CC.
If you want to compare the $650 SL+ hub to the $875 SL+ wheel in the link above, then you’re paying $225 for a 32H Mavic Open Pro build. The hub-only gives you the option of choosing a Zipp or some other sweet option. If an Open Pro is what you want, then it’s probably a toss-up, but this is ST and you might lose your man card if someone snapped a pic of you on a 32H OP.
