Powertap Question (8)

How do you guys have Computer Setup 3 set up? This is the menu that includes zero readings for power, speed and cadence. Mine is currently setup to include zeros in the readings for each. Does this also include zeros when I am stopped? I want the computer to include zeros when I am coasting but not when I am stopped completely. Anyone know if the cpu will ignore time while you are stopped if you have these set to read zeros? My guess is that it will but just want to confirm.

Also, I have never used the interval feature on the Powertap CPU. Anyone else think it is odd that this doesn’t have a time elapsed function so I can tell how long my interval has lasted or am I completely missing something? I know that I set the time on the CPU so it clearly has a clock. Why no timing display for intervals?

personally i include zeros except when stopped
.

In the spirit of ‘teaching a man to fish’, I give you this…

The quick answer-including zeroes does not include zeroes when you’re stopped–and there is an interval function to show elapsed time for intervals. The owner’s manual will tell you how to get there.

Perhaps I have mis-understood the question, but i think this is not clearly explained in the instructions, however the info is there. you may toggle back and forth between intervals info (you many view any of the intervals you have completed or your current interval) and info for your total ride.

Check the Saris website under FAQ for demo videos. There’s one on the interval feature.
