Powertap question (19)

Quick question on the powertap head unit…

So how do I clear the ride data before each ride without loosing other rides?

I don’t have time to connect it to a computer after each ride, but would like to see only average power, speed, etc for only the ride I am on. This seems simple but I have not figured it out yet…

You hold dwon both buttons at the same time. The screen will read “find” then “clear”. Realease the buttons when you see the word “clear”.

Without clearing, you can use the interval feature. You can treat that days ride as an interval if you like.

That will clear all files in the CPU. If you don’t want to do that, then just put it into interval mode for the new day and it will display just the data for that “interval”.

eventually though the memory will fill and the CPU will need to be cleared.

Listen to what Alex said above, and not the other guy. If you are using a yellow powertap CPU, here is how you do it:

To go into interval mode, hold down the MODE button for 2-3 seconds. (this is the bottom left button). You will see INT 1 display on the left hand side of the screen

To change to the next interval, press both buttons (MODE + SELECT) at the same time, but DO NOT hold them down. This will make it go to INT 2, INT 3, etc.

Don’t let it accumulate multi-week rides - it will fill up. Good luck!

gottca I will try that with the interval modes. I figured out how to clear all the data, but I guess you have to use the intervals for this. Thanks
