Just got my first power meter in the form of a PowerTap Pro+. Did my first ride yesterday and downloaded the data directly into PowerAgent and WKO+ successfully but can not get the computer to download directly to the RaceDay software. I did get the data into RaceDay by exporting the file out of PowerAgent and importing into RaceDay but I would like to be able to just download directly. When I go to File->Download PowerTap Data the pop up window comes up asking for “Critical Power” and “Weight” and says “Com3” which is where I have the PowerTap cradle and computer plugged in. WKO+ and PowerAgent see and specifically note the device but RaceDay just says “Com3” and doesn’t download any data. Any ideas? Dr. Skiba?

To answer your question: We’re updating RaceDay to work with the latest Powertap firmware…should be about a week or so. It works with all previous firmware, and there is a new beta version of RaceDay that allows it to peacefully coexist with PowerAgent and use the same drivers until the new version is ready. (Again, this will work with all previous versions of PT…it is just the latest firmware we are sorting out).
