I just got my PowerTap back after getting a new torque tube fitted but I haven’t been able to calibrate it.
When I select calibrate on my Garmin 500 the “Calibrating…” message comes up but it hasn’t changed to “Calibration Successful” after several attempts.
Anyone have any idea what I should do to get it to calibrate?
Mine can take 4-5+ minutes to calibrate at times … Not sure why since it used to take about 15 seconds, but with Garmin software updates it’s been taking much longer since the last update. My Statges loads up in about 15 seconds.
Give it time to calibrate, make sure the PT hub doesn’t shut off in the process and eventually it will sync up and calibrate.
There’s a quirk in the garmin software where if you have a heart rate strap enabled, it won’t calibrate until the garmin detects your heart rate strap. Try disabling the heart rate strap in your garmin and then calibrate it.
Disabling the heart rate monitor worked. Thanks!
