PowerTap and Disc Cover

Has anyone used a disc cover, so they can race with their powertap wheel? The following websites sell covers. I thought that I read somewhere that they actually ride faster than some other discs, because they are more lenticular in shape. If you have used them, then please elaborate on your experience in terms of both how long it takes to install and how well it holds up…and of course more importantly, did you go faster?

I’ve used the CH-Aero cover with a standard PowerTap wheel. It takes a bit of trial and error to get it centered on the rim. You also have to cut the left side to make room for the hub shell - wheelbuilder.com will do this for you if you buy from them IIRC. If you don’t center it on the rim, it rubs the brake pads. Jens said he just cut his down and used electrical tape to make it easier to mount instead of using the provided screws. I never did the testing to see if it made me faster, I only assume so. I would not try to install it on race day, leave yourself a day ahead of time to mount and a short test ride make sure it sits still and is correctly mounted instead of waiting til the last minute.
