I just went to the Powerman MI facebook to see if the race was still on the schedule since I could not access the web page. If you click on the events section it states that Powerman has no future events - does anyone know if Powerman MI was cancelled? Powerman Coco Beach?
It’s still listed at www.powerman.org but their North American website is down. My understanding is that they’ve backed out of events in the US before, so I don’t like the looks of this.
An email I just sent to powermanusa was returned as undeliverable!
Did you check with 3 Discipines? They have the Powerman contract. The Michigan race is still open on their website:

So crazy enough, 3 Disciplines sent an email blast to its subscribers this morning about registering for the race, saying it’s “your chance to qualify for the World Championships in Switzerland.”
They have a phone number on the email as well: 231-546-2229.
I hope they don’t abandon this race, I had heard really good things about it last year.

Technically, you don’t have to qualify to race Powerman Zofingen. Anyone can sign up and race in the Open Division which some might say is the Powerman World Championship. But the ITU Long Course World Championship, held on the same course at the same time, is scored separately, and the only way to qualify for that is via the race or procedures set by your national governing body. USAT has not yet established the 2017 Long Course Duathlon qualifier.
