I just upgraded my PowerAgent software to version 7.5 (7.5.1.10 to be exact) and I LOVE it…BUT, I am a but confused on its calculation of FTP.
When looking at the “Work” tab of any workout, it gives me an FTP of 250 watts. Is this a calculated value from the workout files in aggregate, or is this some default value that I need to change somewhere (somewhere I cannot seem to find!).
If I go to “Edit User” and input my Peak Power (4 min) and Peak Power (30 min), it calculates an FTP of 217 watts.
Obviously, there is a big difference between FTP of 250 watts and 217 watts. Any insights?

Pretty sure 250 is some ‘default’ value as that is what I get too… You would think the software would grab the computed FTP for the user but it doesn’t.

Thanks!
default value. You can edit your user account and set it manually (or do it from the test).
For some reason, the software uses a default FTP of 250 for all your data when it converts them from the old version.
You can change the FTP on each ride individually, but there’s no way to do it in bulk. Saris has said they will release an update soon that will allow bulk updates of FTP for your old rides.
Now if someone will tell me how to import an old ride that has a comma in the “Ride Tag” I will be very happy … this new version interprets the comma as a data delimiter and the file won’t load - highly annoying!
