Power to weight

In an effort to increase my power to weight ratio I came up with a cool plan to loose weight. Since I’m already pretty slender I don’t have much fat to loose, so I had my wisdom teeth and appendix removed. That ought to be good for at least 500 grams. I heard that all the pros in the Tour de France do this. I’m considering removing 6 inches of collen I don’t really use as well as my pinky fingers on both hands, good for another 800-900 grams at least.

How serious are YOU about going fast?

I’ll get down to race weight (165 #'s) by the 1st of the year. Still 10 #'s more to go after my Thanksgiving feast. That and a lot of time on my bike in 07 will do the trick. I’m not planning on cutting off any body parts to increase my power to weight ratio.

I think you meant, you want to lose weight.

Not “loose” weight.

Couldn’t help myself, I’m bored

Probably better off getting rid of your pinky toes before your pinky fingers I would think.
What about your tonsils? Toenails?

Pretty sure that your pinky fingers help at least a little bit to grip the water while swimming and pinky toes are used more than you’d think to balance while running. Ears on the other hand are entirely cosmetic…

Excellent point. My girlfriend says I don’t listen to her anyway.

I have been married for 6 years, I have an extra body part I could probably cut off and my wife would never miss it. Other than that they already took my tonsils, appendix and wisdom teeth.

your ribs are removable.

I had my spleen removed. That was worth 15 watts.
