Thinking of making the jump to a PT for Training (also have a Computrainer). Spend most of my time training on my road bike vs. the race/tri bike.
Dilemma is tri bike is 650c and roadie 700c so cannot interchange wheels.
Would like to hear what would be most beneficial set up.
If not, then put the PT on your race bike. If you someday swap to a bike w/ 700c, then re-lace the PT into that wheel. The PT is valuable for race day, you can still train on it part time, and you can do more training on the CT on your road bike. Powertraining, IMHO, is most useful for intervals. If you do most of your intervals on the CT or on your tri bike w/ the PT, you probably minimize the value that you miss out on.
Now, if you end up doing all your intervals on the road bike on the road rather than the CT, well, then you’ve blown in!
