Power nerds - Garmin Connect question

My Garmin 500 died so I bought a 510 as replacement. Since it wirelessly and automatically uploads to Connect I also started using that instead of TP. Works great–especially for my laziness–but tss seems way off. For example, a race yesterday gives me a score of 450 on Connect but 146 on TP, which feels right. I have my weight and height set the same for both. Any suggestions?

It looks like you need to set your power zones within Garmin Connect.

I have nothing to add to help resolving the question, but just wanted to note how depressing I found your post.

You are already racing and I literally have not ridden my bike outside since last fall (nor will I anytime soon).

Our high Weds will be 9*…Fook, I hate Chicago.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but you have to set zones on device and not in Connect, right? It will let me adjust HR but not power.

I set mine in Garmin Connect and then download to device.

When you say “It will let me adjust HR but not power”, on the device or on Garmin Connect ?

EDIT : something is weird on Garmin Connect. Cannot set power any more. I used to be able to. Is this maybe a site upgrade issue ?
A couple of people have reported it in the Garmin Forums

That’s the issue I’m having. The link to set is there but doesn’t work like HR does.

What can I say other than sorry, and that we pay a lot or taxes in exchange for nice winters.

This is a new bug with Garmin Connect. For sure you could do it before.
Two people have reported it in the forums
I tried with 2 browser types, same thing

Connect does some weird stuff. Like it will pull power from the ride from your head unit, so if you had zeros not being included in your head unit power average, the “entire ride average” on connect will reflect that wrong power, even though all the data is there.

I wouldn’t use it. Golden Cheetah or WKO, hear me now believe me later!

Yeah, that’s what I was afraid of. Connect was appealing mainly because it was automatic and wireless with 510. But now it mysteriously stopped talking to my iPhone, which takes that benefit off the table.
