Power meter help

so what happens when a PM battery starts to die, how do you know?

asking about an SRM.

thanks!

in a bit more detail,

i did a very short TT tonight before a run.

warmed up, and had planned on 5 miles at 20min power.

i start riding, cant get the numbers up, and am DYING sitting on approx 85% of FTP.

could this be an issue with the meter, or something going on with me?

FWIW i am coming off a forced 3 days off due to work.

I just got a bunch of drops to the computer.

pretty sure that Bat or somethign shows up on the power control.

I also use an SRM.

Not sure about the battery question… helps to know when it was purchased and when the last time it was serviced by SRM. When serviced it helps to send the power control as well as the cranks back to SRM as there is a battery in both.

Having said that I think your problem might be calibration… did you set the offset before you rode? I set it before every ride and again before I start my “main set” or intervals. It’s affected by temperature and humidity so it changes often.

hope that helps.

thanks guys,

turns out i was getting pretty sick when that happened and the TT i thought i was dying for no reason was because of that.
