Power Meter for Felt CX bike

Ok ok ok… I know this is a TRIATHLON forum, but rest assured I am a triathlete. Like many of you I ride my cyclocross bike in the off season to change things up. And getting muddy is fun. Without further delay, here is the dilemma I’m having with finding a power solution for my Felt CX bike:

I am the happy new owner of a beautiful '14 Felt F5X cyclocross and I’m looking for a power meter solution. The bike comes from the factory with a SRAM S350 BB30 46/36T crankset.

I think Quarq is out because I’d have to upgrade to SRAM’s CX PowerGlide 46/36 chainrings.

I think Stages is out because they don’t make a BB30 model that will work with my SRAM system.

I think PowerTap is out because I’m using disc brakes.

SRM is too expensive, and so is Garmin.

Does that mean my only remaining option is Powerr2Max?

What power option would you use for this bike and why?

PowerTap does makes a disc version of their hub. The spacing on their hub is 135mm but I’ve managed to squeeze it into 130mm rear dropouts with no issues.

Why waste $$$ on a power meter for an off-season *fun *bike? Being a triathlete, you surely have access to other power-meter sources.

If cash is burning a hole in your pocket, spend some shaving tonnage off the beast. (At a hefty 19.9 lbs (Felt spec), upgrading a few parts and shedding tonnage would be more CX-appropriate.)
