So as a disclaimer i am technologically challenged, it seems that when i am trying to get data from my powertap to power agent 7 software on a windows operating system (if that matters) sometimes I open up the software and it sees the device other times it doesn’t…then i start restarting the computer, opening and closing the software and taking the device on/off the cradle with the power on and off and eventually it finds it…what would be the best sequence to get it to find the device on the first try…
I too am technologically challenged, and Poweragent7 wouldn’t find my PT either, so after doing what i am good at (cussing and swearing) and it still not working, lots of random mouse clicking, saving my GF’s power files in 3 different places (if I lost them I died, and once I’d figured it out, i was practicing), I just downloaded 7.4.4 from Saris website, all her powerfiles were still there and as a bonus, Poweragent now finds my PT no problem.
How do I post this??
I have experienced all of your problems, and got a very simple advice here on ST: jam the computer really tight in to the cradle, and I mean* really *jam it in there. - Problem solved (most of the time:)
