Post stage interview, Stage 15 (SPOILER)

WOW! Did you see that interview with Lance? Frankie flat out asked him whether he knew he could no longer win the Tour. Lance agreed. Dang!

It looked like Lance was tearing up a bit. I think this last week will be tough for him. Too bad. I really wanted to see him win.

Nice to see Lance concede. He saw how Contador took it to another level and knew he couldn’t match it. He’s been in Contador’s shoes before and can recognize, and appreciate, that kind of talent, I think.

Yeah but they did mention that he’s 12 years older than Contador. That’s huge…

Anyone have a prediction on him riding next year? What do you think?

I like it how Lance added that he does have SEVEN yellow jerseys back home.

I was rooting for him the whole way, but unless a miracle happens on Thursday in the time trial, he’s not going to win.

That is a fantastic question. I think there is a very good chance b/c I think there is a LIVESTRONG-Trek team in the works.

Who knows, maybe Contador will crack on one of the remaining days. If Lance doesn’t win, I’d rather see Andy S. or Sastre. Actually anyone but Contador (or Evans).

Agreed. I don’t know what I don’t like Contador, but, I don’t. I did not really like him the year he won. I don’t know why.

C’mon brah, its all mind games. Lance will crush everyone by 5 minutes on Ventoux.

Now let me decide if i want to put all that in pink…

To me, Contador just seems a bit TOO ambitious. Could just be me, though…

Contador comes off as whiney to me. And that stupid finish line antic.

Kind of surprised that Andy S. didn’t respond quickly. Especially after his boys turned themselves inside out up the climb (especially Fabian).

I hope Wiggins can get on the podium. Nice to see the trackie successful on the road!

The reason “you” don’t like him is because he’s Goliath, and Americans only like Goliath when Goliath is also American. Sorry for the generalization, but that’s my opinion.

That’s a stupid generalization.

i remember floyd drinking champagne on his bike on the road to the champs elysees. pereiro won the tour that year. i am insinuating nothing, simply noting that strange things happen in this race.

Well, I didn’t mean you! We all know the reason you don’t like him is because he isn’t good looking.

Yeah it is in Lance’s best interest to protect that second place spot. There is a lot of tough cycling to come.

Spooky. Check my post (number 12) on this thread: http://forum.slowtwitch.com/gforum.cgi?do=post_view_flat;post=2419258;page=1;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC;mh=25;

Why?

Isn’t it true that most like the underdogs?

Its probably true of most people regardless of the country.

I don’t like him as I find it hard to respect anyone that don’t do anything to redress his involvement in the Fuentes affair. That is wrong regardless of guilt or innocence.
