I just had a fairly challenging Olympic this last weekend. The day after, Sunday, I did recovery run and lift the day after, but have been so swamped at work that I have had to take the last two days off from training (it has been physical labor though). My fitness is at a high enough level to place in my age group, so I have been training religiously the entire season.
Being that I have not taken two days off all year, are these two days going to set me back or is the rest a good thing? How do you recover from races?
