Pop goes the weasel!

Even tires of the same make and model are not created equal. Certainly, not a surprise to most people in these parts to see this kind of a result, but this tire lasted only a week. (Really just posting for posterity’s sake.)

The same make and model tire from the other wheel lasted for months! Literally, it lasted through last season’s use on a Kurt Kinetic and up until last week on the computrainer. The other one didn’t even split apart like this. The tube went flat, and I ran my fingers along the inside trying to find the fray that punctured the tube. Didn’t find anything, but anyhow, of course, I changed the tire to the one pictured here. Been on this one since last weekend. Not no mo’ fo’ sho’!!! The timing of this was pretty good though; only had 5mins left for tonight’s ride when things started to sound peculiar.

Dude. Clean your floor.

dude, how long have you been in Abu Ghraib?

that sucks about your wheel-but arent you concerned about breathing in all that damp, musty air down there? I hope it is safe-not trying to be a jerk

Man, don’t waste tires on a trainer. Buy a continental trainer tire and put it in your will.

All you other guys get off his back about the floor. It’s obvious he rides the trainer so hard that he regularly hurls up his lunch. Way to HTFU!
Of course, it’d be nice to wipe it up once in a while…

Brad

Floor looks wet- you know you’re supposed to practice peeing on the bike outside, right?

It’s not damp and musty. It might look that way, but it is just sweat on the floor.
