He no longer needs that sham of a trust. He can now pull out his Halliburton stock and live off the dividends that have been accruing for 8 years. He’ll be able to buy a motorized wheel chair starting tomorrow, instead of the crappy push around loaner
very ironic, after 40 years of public service at the highest level - he goes out with a whimper instead of a bang. Maybe one last hunting trip will get that bang back.
how much stock does Cheney have in Halliburton? Didn’t he sell almost all of his stock back in 2000? I understand that he held on to approximately 190,000 shares - so, yeah, he’ll live large on that $74,000 a year in dividends. Also, didn’t he long ago - like when he took office - enter into a legally binding agreement to turn over all after-tax profits from his Halliburton stock to charity?
You seem to know a lot on the subject, so feel free to set the record straight.
One of the greatest movies ever made, IMHO…Peter Sellers actually plays three roles in it: the mad scientist, the British officer and ? (2 pts for correct guess). There is also a very young Alex Haley (on the b-52 with Slim Pickens).
I kid you not…I did not figure out that he (Peter Sellers) was cast as the President until the 3rd time I saw it…what a terrific actor…in the OR we quote Slim Pickens and George C. Scotts lines all of the time…the image of Slim riding the nuke all the way down is classic…
