Does anyone use Carnac’s? They aren’t available to try on here. I see good deals for them but don’t want to pull the trigger on something foot unfelt. Fit like shimano, nike, specialized, etc? Decent?

Shimano because that’s what fit my feet best. IMO the best way to go about getting shoes is to go to your LBS and find someone that knows shoes and have them analyze your feet in several different shoes and get the ones that have the best fit and are most comfortable. I also like the one strap system and carbon sole of the Shimanos
Specialized Tri Vent. Third season. Just about time to replace them but I have had no complaints.

I just got a pair of Carnacs the other day and they feel fine. When I got home I realised that this was about the first purchase over $100 in the last year where I have not consulted Slowtwitch. However I’m happy with them so far even if they may not be Cervelo, I mean Slowtwitch, approved.
I second these. Tried the Sidi’s and like these much better.
Had the trivents and got rid of them after a few months to get the nice shimanos(carbon sole ones). Shimanos are MUCH better shoes IMO. They have one strap, which you wouldnt think would feel more secure than the 2 straps of the trivent but they do. The shimanos are a little wider, i thought the liner was more comfortable sockless too. I do all of my cycling barefoot so thats big. The shimanos are much easier to put on when clipped in to the pedals also. Partly because of the one strap but also because they can be put in a position that holds the whole thing open so your feet slide right in.
