Poll: Favorite Triathlon/Duathlon Cycling shoe

What are you wearing for quick entry, comfort, ventilation, stiffness, ease of cleat mount, lack of “issues” like hot spots or seam cuts etc? Plenty of new 2005 models to choose from it appears. Clearly, the best shoe is the one that fits best, but just curious if there is a consensus.

Shimano SH-TR02 if you have caveman feet. great with out socks, actually i have yet to wear them with socks.

Vote #2 for the Shimano’s. Most comfy cycling shoes I’ve owned.

For Sprints and Olympics or warm weather 1/2s, I really like my Specialized Tri-Vent shoes. They fit my foot really well, are stiff enough and have good ventilation.

What is “caveman feet” supposed to mean, that you don’t need socks because your feet are so fuzzy they might as well be made of wool?

I just totally switched over pedals to Speedplay, and along with that changed shoes to Sidi Lazers… Pretty much the most comfortable shoe I’ve worn.

no, wide feet like 2E or 4E wide
.

Time Iron CX, a really fine stiff, light and airy shoe. Large entry area with the first strap done up, which means you have the ease of entry of a single strap shoe and the support/lack of moving within the shoe that a twin strap design provides.

I’m reminded of the Geico commercial here:

“So easy even a CAVEMAN can use it”

“I’ll have the roastht duck in Mango Sthalsa”
