Polar V800 - Ask me anything

On Facebook they’ve pretty much been telling people to use the sync cable while they look into some sync issues with the Flow app, so they know there’s a problem.
Biggest annoyance is once you’ve synced the data is gone - you can only use the cable for future exercises, not the ones that failed in a sync with the app.

I really preferred the raw files we got from the rs800cx - had them backed up with Dropbox and all sorts. If the watch simply transferred the file to the phone/pc it could store the file for an attempted re-sync later, or for the user to download, analyse, backup, whatever. There are PC apps to intercept the data (biPolar for example) but no such app for mobile devices - that would be very cool indeed (if it were even possible).

BiPolar intercepts the data that is getting synced. But this one: https://github.com/profanum429/v800_downloader/releases downloads the data even after they’ve been already synced. So If you lost some important data you can try that.

Question for Chris (in the very improbable case he’s still reading this thread) - sincerely, what’s the deal with mobile apps sync bugs? There have been problems since Dec 31st update. At the beginning there were messages saying Polar was working hard to get the fixes asap. Then there was only silence and now things even seem to be worse than before. In the meantime e.g. MFP integration was released. Now I’m not sure if I should wait another week for wireless syncing to be fixed or look for a different product?
