Seen the compatibility chart, but also know some people report they can use s series sensors with the CS bike computers. Just finished rebuilding my road bike and was thinking of setting it up like this…

The idea was that because the cs400 is expensive and doesn’t seem as bullet proof as the s625x, to maybe use the s625x when I ride in the rain or on fast group rides when I’m not riding by HR, but just want to log my workout. I find I rather have a more traditional bike computer when I am riding to show me speed, cadence, etc…the s625x display is too small.
Well I tried riding with the s625x watch with the cs400. When downloaded to PPT5 the cs400 worked fine, the s625x didn’t log all the speed data from the cs speed sensor. All the HR data logged fine. Which makes sense, just curious if anyone has gotten the cs sensors to work/log with the s625x as some have reported? Does the CS400 and s625x interfere with each other?
I have the 625x and the s-series power sensor with no issues. I love it. Works really well with WKO too. I think you are referring to the s-series sensor but not positive. You’re not taling about the W.I.N.D power sensor right? The wind sensor does not work with the 625x.
But back to the OT. I tried using a CS speed sensor with the S625x. I put the s series speed sensor on my mountain bike and the s625x worked fine. I’ll have to try the s-series speed sensor with the cs400. Maybe the newer units work with the older sensors, but not vice versa. Guess I’ll end up figuring it out.
Psyched about the cs400, can’t wait to start training with it, the only annoying thing is, can you use it just for speed and cadence data and turn off the HR function? Say you forget your HRM strap, do you have to look at an error message the whole ride?
The CS speed sensor will not work with any S series unit(S510 -520-710-720-625-725). I would load up on S series speed sensors, youcan change the battery in them and also boost signal strength. CS cad sensors will not work with S series units. Does this help?
