Anyone have any tips on the setup and use?

yup, like is the cadence option a good deal and have you set it up with the chain power device?
well the cadence is a great deal if you end up using it, I was kind of bummed with mine as with the cadence I had one less display line so it was basically HR, Speed, & Cadence but I still wanted one more and I often didn’t use cadence to display stopwatch, or trip distance.
As far as the power option, that only works with the 720i and 625, sorry. Polar’s are great though, personally I’d usually reccomend dropping the extra dough on the 720i over the 520 but it’ll still serve you well and has more features then you’ll ever need.
If you have any trouble getting the speed sensor to work well, google “polar speed sensor” and you’ll find some tips on how to boost the signal output by changing one of the internal jumpers.
