1-I know that we can a make strenght training routine and download it to the watch. We can put the name of the exercise, set, repittion and weight.
Let say that I’m suppose to do bench press 3 sets, 10 rep, 200lbs and I actually do 2 sets at 10 rep, but the third I only do 8.
Is it possible to put the real numbers during the workout?
The question is also good for sets, weight, …
2- I prensently own a RS800CX. Except fot the strenght traning part, will the FT80 have any begenits for me?
Good FT80 questions. On the FT80 download to PPT.com, the reps are not shown per set, more of a reference or a guide as to how many per set. The work around could be if you listed side planks twice and 1 set each, versus 2x side planks, then you could enter reps for that set. If you have 2 sets listed for side planks, then you can not define one of the sets post workout. You can edit the umber of sets, pounds and reps, but not number of reps per set if they are grouped together. I could do a screen grab if needed.

Not really, FT80 does not have Running Index or OwnOptimizer, interval timers or lap/splits. It does make the gym routine easier. FT80 is a really not meant for the serious racer but ideal for a health club member or some who does their own core/strength work and may train outdoors.
But, I looked at the manual and nothing about my question.
Posted on Polar forum, got no answered.
Even tried to ask someone who’s selling a used one, but he doesn’t know.
My ideal strength traiig watch would have the capability of:
1- download to the watch the routine (exercise, sets, reps, weight,…)
2- Edit the routine during the workout (simple way to do so)
3- Download it back to a “software” for analysis
If I don’t find such watch, I’ll stick with writing on a book.
Essentially you have an outline of the workout on the watch, sort of like an index card you could carry. I have 2x wall sits w/ ball (saw Andy Potts do these , 2x ball pike, etc . If I opt for one set instead of two, or 8 reps instead 10, then I end the set. If I have 10 core exercises on the watch, once I complete, 2x v-ups, that comes off my list, now I have 9 to choose from, etc. Once downloaded, I could edit some post workout data. See images below. The FT80 provides more than this feature, but this is a pretty good over view of the Polar FT80 Strength Training programming. Essentially you could copy and paste these images into a document and if working out at home refer to your chart, but that may not always be possible. The FT80 also watches your R-R and instructs start next set. Please remember, this is a FT unit and not a RS/RCX5 replacement. Hope this helps, enjoyed this thread.
Think many songs equals one playlist. Below is where I can add to Polar provided exercises, the none yellow shirt’s are the ones I added
**Now I grab the loose exercises and generate a Core Program (playlist). **
**This is my download, I only did 7 of 12. Here is where I can edit. **
