Polar CS200 vs CS400

Looking to switch from S720i to CS 200 or CS 400. For one, I’d like to mount my computer on the stem so I can use the aero water-bottle between the extensions.

Anyone know the main differences, and what explains the huge price jump ($170 vs $340)? Also, I have the ubs IR device to upload data - will it work with these models? Any suggestions on whether I should make the switch?

Thanks

If you are coming from a S720i, the CS400 will be similar. The CS200 will download to our webservice, not your own computer. CS200 does not download HR curves, CS400 does. CS200 does not have an altimeter, CS400 does. CS400 will download using the newer IRDA2 to an updated version of the software you have, now known as Protrainer5. CS400 will allow a more detailed interval session program, unlike your S720i, you can program a pyramid type session. CS400 is an improved version of a S720i to some degree

does that mean that my older infrared device (link below) will not work with the CS400? (http://www.vitaminbungalow.com/pd_polar_infrared.cfm)

i’ll need to buy the new version?

I am fairly certain that you need a new one or if you have an IR port on a laptop then you do not need an IR Interface. Polar #'s is Tel: 800-227-1314
