Please mark all "Tour Spoiler" threads as such

For those of us who want to continue to use this forum over the next 3 weeks even before we’ve had our dose of Phil and Paul in the evening, please could I ask folk to mark threads as something like"Spoiler - today’s Tour TT" if you’re going to talk about the day’s results, rather than something like “Mayo wins stage 15 by 55 minutes despite stopping for ice-cream!”

Thanks, please bump this if necessary.

Hear, hear!

Don’t read Slowtwitch before you watch the TDF each day…DOH!!

JUST KIDDING!!! : )

Hey, I’m with you, but I posted a similar request a couple of weeks ago and was summarily either a) ridiculed or b) ignored.

I don’t quite understand why anything that gives away results can’t stay out of the subject line, but apparently it was too much to ask:

http://forum.slowtwitch.com/gforum.cgi?do=post_view_threaded;post=424029;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC; (or maybe it was the way I asked).

If anyone gives you a hard time refer them to this thread

of course some dumbass invariably does it anyway… :frowning:

I agreee…BUT…you’re only fooling yourself if you think someone won’t post a spoiler. You are just as foolish to read internet chat boards if you don’t want to know the results.

I agree that I was being kinda optimistic, but figured it was worth asking. One instance of this recently was where some dude acknowledged that his post contained a spoiler, but then he STILL managed to put the result in his post, ie

Title is:
" Botero Ressurrected (Dauphine Spoiler)"

Sorry, but we try to get this across every year. Invariably someone breaks the silence, though. Most of the time its inadvertent and the “offender” is usually apologetic. I’ve been guilty of inadvertently spoiling results myself, though not specifically TdF. Your only truly safe bet is to stay off of ST until you catch the action…
