Please Help!: back of knee/calf/achilles pain

I injured the back of my knee playing beach soccer in a tournament. at first I thought i had been kicked and that it was a bruise so I kept exercising.

It was tight so that it hurt very badly to raise my toes while my knee was locked. I went cycling and that really aggravated it. I have been waking up a couple of times a night with pain. If I bend my knee for a few seconds it will start to hurt behind the knee and in my calf and even down to my achilles and around my ankle?

Should I see a doctor?

anyone know of a good one in Virgina Beach?

thanks so much,
Dan

you could try the following sites:

if what you have is like what i have… (it felt like i was hit in the calf w/a golf ball, but when i looked there was no ball… then it felt like a cramp that just wouldn’t (won’t) go away.

thanks urbanrider.

I think one of the articles you sent me perfectly describes my situation. I am going to try to call a doctor tomorrow to see if I can do any type of cross training.

ironically, bike riding is the hardest on it.

thanks again,
