However, I’m beginning to think, it’s just not possible. I try to avoid reading threads about the USAT issues here, but, I’ve just come to the conclusion that, it must be so screwed up, up there at headquarters, that everybody has to be bothered about it, even if you don’t want to be. This is a bad sign.
It reminds me of my Property Association Fights down here. I never paid any attention to the guy running our Association, nor read his letters. I just paid my dues and assessments. I just assumed since the guy running it and other officers were lawyers and accountants, its all cool.
Then, all of us started getting more and more letters, from him and the staff. In one of them, he removed a vice president and put the word, “No One,” on the letter head, next to the position of Vice President. Several of the letters to all of us were basically off the wall criticisms to everyone out in the neighborhood about how expensive some liability policy for the swimming pool are, but he bought it. We were scratching our heads. Elections were screwed up. He was tired of doing things. Tired of shouldering the load. Tired of this. Tired of that. He hired this company. Then he didn’t like that company, and so on. We all watched him meltdown.
I finally talked to several our neighbors and we all concluded that the goal here is just for somebody to run it, and not have whoever it is, elected, bother everybody about your squabbles and meltdowns. So, out he went. Most of us didn’t really care about what was going on. Just leave us alone and don’t do stupid things, which we have to read and hear about.
I just got an email, from USAT staff headquarters, even though I am not a list subscriber about them “investigating” unauthorized emails about this election.
I just assumed when I got into this mess, that it wasn’t going to be run or have problems like my property owner’s association fights, for example, or like, two warring parental factions, fighting for spots on the Boy Scouts Board. I just assumed since there were lawyers, engineers, doctors, accountants and other professionals in this, I could just set back and, it would all be handled like a well oiled machine up at national headquarters.
Guess not.
