I did a 1000 yards tempo yesterday in 13:25. what would that equal in meters? i always swim in meters (until pool closed) and want to know if I did good. thanks

1 meter = 1.09361 yards.

So you swam 1,000 yards divided by 1.09361 yards/meter = 914 meters

Here is a swimming time converter website.

Its 14:53 for a short course meters 1000. If select long course it will give you a time for 800m which the equivilant long course race.

thanks. that is very helpful. coach said he wanted me to swim 1000 under 15:15 (meters). now I know I did ok:-)
