Anyone aware of a lighter plastic similar design mount to the xlab versa? I’ve had that on for longer rides as like the bottle cage and out front Garmin mount with it. But it’s quite heavy so for some hilly rides, I’m trying to reduce the weight a bit

Hey Candice here from XLAB - have a slightly different username than before!
Unfortunately the only plastic mounts we have are on the Hydroblade series which is with a vertical bottle.
However if you want to look at reducing weight we do have the Torpedo Kompact Mounts which are roughly half the size (lengthwise) and thinner than the Versa plate available in both Aluminum and Carbon.
Alternatively if you have the Versa Aluminum mount, the Torpedo Versa Carbon Mount is about 40 grams lighter than it.

thanks Candice - good to know. So the shorter mounts are no good for me as i need a mount further up the bars and these wont allow the bottle to easily pass that
I may go for the carbon version. seems the best bet

We have the plates on our Online Shop for US customers. We do have an Outlet section on there as well which has some discounted carbon plates (comes with mounting brackets). Believe most if not all are cosmetic defects, but brand new.
I’m in the UK otherwise that would be v handy!
