Plasma 5 vs. 2011 SC 9.series predictions

Hi guys.

Sorry for another this vs that post, but here goes :slight_smile:

I’m currently riding a 1. gen. Trek Speed Concept 9,7 from 2011 and I’m looking at the brand new Scott Plasma 5.

How much do you think aerodynamic, stiffness and so forth have evolved during the last 4 year? I’m guessing the Plasma will be faster, even though the 9 series SC even from 2011 is an aero beast, but do you think there will be a noticeable difference over the 180 km?

If it’s faster it will be something like 30secs over 180km. I could be wrong but even if I am… you’d probably get more out of ceramic bearings… or optimizing your aero helmet (almost certainly)

Ride feel, stiffness, etc is another story. Scott has a pretty cool construction technique they use for their frames.
