So basically I love this bike, I think it looks awesome, and incorporates so great ideas. Theres a couple of things I’d like to know though before I seriously look at buying one.
- Are the chainstays on the bike wide enough to allow for a sub 9 or jet disc?
- Is the frame of the LTD and the 10 the same (I couldn’t see any differences in material on the site)
- Can you order the Plasma 2 10 as just a frame set? I like the gold black and white better
- Have we acctually seen any drag numbers for this bike, I’ve been trying to keep updated, but I may have missed something
Thanks for the help guys
from HED’s website…
Wheel fit:
All Jets and Jet discs are built on the C2 rim. As of January 6 there are 2 versions of the Jet 9, skinny and regular. Skinny retains the C2 rim but has a modified aero section to fit Cervelo P2 and P3, Specialized Transition, and Scott Plasma. We are not aware of fit issues with other frames.

I checked with HED via email as i was curious on whether the C2 width worked with an '08 Orbea Ordu (I’m still not sure as they didn’t know of a C2/Ordu test), but the bikes listed above (the Plasma included) have been “tested/tried” and they recommend the “skinny” 9.
has anyone heard of issues with the C2 and an Ordu? Other frames that definately do/do not work with the HED Jet C2 9? This question seems to be asked a lot on this forum.

I contacted scott usa and the rep said that they are only offering the plasma 10 as a complete bike.
