Planet X (2)

Does anyone know who does import Planet X now? Anyone? I know that a guy working for a TN company who I wont name had it…but now, he is gone and seems PX is gone in the US.

If not, who knows who the international contact for them is? I guess Performance or someone got some inventory and was selling it at higher rates than you can import it for. They are great bikes, great frames no matter what name is on them (what, a dozen or so).

Just order it from UK, unless the exchange rate has gone way up it will be cheaper, shipping is cheaper than VAT (at least it was when I bought mine a few months ago), so the price they list at www.planet-x-warehouse.co.uk is actually more expensive than what you will pay, once you get the frame in your cart you see it - VAT and + shipping. There is no import tax/cost/etc, everyone always seems to think that.

Mine got to the East coast in a few days after placing my order.

Oh yeah and according to their website they are going to have a huge sale real soon on everything so probably get it even cheaper.

i noticed that, of all places, bike nashbar has been selling a few PX ti and carbon frames. definitely not a good sign …

if wal mart sold P4’s at half price, would that be bad?

might be good for me.

might be bad for cervelo.

unless you own cervelo stock, you should be happy about it. then again, volume is a good thing too.

Two Brothers have a new distributorship for planet x…appropriately called: Planet-X-USA, LLC…i know because I’m one of the brothers.
The information that has been given is all true. We recently took the distributorship over from a very nice guy in TN…he just didn’t have time for it.
My brother and I look forward to making a huge impact in the United States with the Brand. Planet X speaks for itself…look at their riders and results!!
Anyway…we will have our website up anyday now… www.planet-x-usa.com . We have great prices (cheaper than getting it from the U.K.), and as the official distributor in the United States, as soon as the site is up, you will not be able to order from the U.K. any longer. We have a very nice stock currently, and have several containers on the way from Europe. Feel free to email us at: planet-x-usa@att.net. Anything else I can help you with?

Best of luck to you in the US. I ordered and built a Stealth pro carbon for a friend this winter, and at the price point it’s very hard to beat (esp. when they were at 850 pounds). I was very impressed with the spec at that price.

I know it’s not in the U.S. but I’ve bought things from them and also caught some killer deals on some wheels.
