Oh come on! It’s kind of like drafting. How can you blame the offenders if the enforcers aren’t enforcing it?
I get how defacing a actual flag by writing on it, or defacing it in any other fashion, may violate the code (nicely done, GW), but if you print an image based on the design of the flag that’s not intended to be, specifically, the flag of the US of A, does that qualify? Are bikinis with the stars & stripes design a violation also, or is it only a violation if you cut up an actual flag to use as a bikini, or if you took an American flag and pasted an Obama image over it?
Most of those images appear to be evidence of defaced flags. The last is not so clear.
I have never met anyone who obeys every rule of law. I’ve definitely never a cyclist who always comes to a complete stop where that’s required of cars. I’m not sure I’ve met anyone who never speeds. If you’re ready to come forward and claim to be such a person, go for it. Otherwise, why not just admit that some laws are more important than others and the flag one surely falls fairly far down the list.

An honest question: how does that code fit with USA flag clothes? Are they technically not flags and so therefore ok?
