Kristian, Kevin B and I just before the start of the $1000 mile running event at Athens Twilight

The future stars of cycling raced just before the Pro womens race and it had started to rain again.

http://www.blue111.com/images/at5.jpg

It was pouring down hard during the Pro womens race and the peloton got shattered in a hurry

Kevin and I had a prime viewing spot for the mens race and nice company

http://www.blue111.com/images/at8.jpg

The pace in the mens race was crazy despite completely wet roads

The race winner of the Pro womens race Shannon Hutchinson. I did not even know she won. :frowning:

Very tired spectators during the Pro mens race

Eric Saunders shows no signs of having raced at warp speed for 90 minutes

Vassily Davidenko won the mens race and this time I actually knew. (a worn out Marty Nothstein in the background)

Partying to hard and paying the price. The guy was actually talking on the cell phone too. Yikes.

Herbert, not trying to be mean or anything, but from one German to another, you somehow look like a strange hairless and piercingless version of Stefan Kretzschmar: http://www.stefan-kretzschmar.de/

I must say I like your haircut, due to the raging testosterone levels in my body I’ll end up like that in the not so distant future
.

How come we only ever see you spectating?

probably because he prefers to take pictures of hot chicks. what normal man can blame him?

but, what do I know, I’m just a cat.

meow.

Take pictures of hot chicks vs. Get picture taken with hot chicks,
Sorry, but I know which one I’m choosing.

Now that’s more like it!

Too bad you didn’t get a picture of the people running the mile, I would of been in it. I did the 5k in the morning and some how I qualified for the mile along with two of my friends. We rode the Gambler in the wind and thunder storms after the 5k. That wind was like a wall out there. I was so dead during that mile, but it was great to just be part of it all.

being from athens and having run the mile several times before there i am extremely jealous. even in the rain the twilight is a kick ass event. what other race can you do and have frat guys handing you beers on your cooldown/victory lap after the mile!?!?! i miss that athens girls too. there are soooooo many!!!

I tried to convince my two friends, both went to UGA, to run slow with me. I wanted to grab peoples beer and take corners wide and bang into the barriers. No such luck.

That road was slippery to run on, I can’t believe how fast the bikes went on it.

Herbert,

Do you and your friends have teeth? Just wondering…

Herbert,
Do you and your friends have teeth? Just wondering…

I do, but only when I am eating.
Herbert

Who’s the guy on the left in the first photo?

I’m relieved to see you’re not a FCB fan… .

Suzette,
That guy (Kristian) is married to Kevin’s sister.

I think you should send that last pick to the Daily Distractions at http://pezcyclingnews.com/
.

You will be lucky to have a job wearing a Seven shirt (pic 1) in public no, less. Please tell me you are a Yankee fan, and like the Mick. Aloha G

I never thought about that connection. It is actually a Japanese Diesel “Lucky 7” shirt and is not sports related.
As for being a Team fan that is a different story alltogether.
