Pics of Your Tri Bike

Hey thank you very much!

For the Scott Plasma 6:

  • I initially ordered the RC Pro model, but it was perpetually delayed, so I was given an affordable upgrade to the top of the line Ultimate model with the Red AXS drivetrain.
  • I separately ordered the AeroCoach wheels and have since fitted on the rear disk (new pic!)
  • then I had ordered the Scott Plasma 6 compatible Tetsuo Masamune carbon mono cockpit and had it installed with the initial build-up on receipt at the shop. The cockpit is gorgeous; I really, really like it. I’m shocked at how comfortable it is and it really elevates the bike’s aesthetic.

Thanks for the reply!

I’d love to see more pictures of your front end, those Tetsuo bars look awesome. I’m particularly interested in how you mounted your blips? They only seem compatible with Di2.

Wow! Since you’re doing max effort to cheat the wind, I’ll be a little more critical, so IMHO -

  1. The lower half of the rear bottle(s) is “in the wind” even with you on the bike.
  2. Looks like your gearing is wide enough that you can ditch the front derailleur. Leave the small inner chainring on the bike and shift the chain by hand (off the bike) for very windy or hilly days. If it’s a waxed chain (and it should be) you won’t even get your hands dirty.

I agree on all those fronts, although max cheat hasn’t been my goal (at least this year), just building what I want as time allows. Got the bike this season but I just swapped over the bars last week and haven’t adjusted position there. I have Xlab Wing to bring up bottles from cervelos low rear position, but I haven’t decided if I’m gonna swap to Wove instead. I plan to go 1x next year but not for the marginal gains really, I just like the feel of the system better. I actually have the di2 locked out in BRO because I can’t stand the syncroshift.

Thank You @Tollakson and team for building me a new one-off rim brake Marquis…super clean and it just works for me…love it. Don’t flame me…I’ll get the gatorskin off the rear wheel before I race…I want to get some miles on it and use it for my spare…they are fairly bulletproof, ime. Still waiting for my BTA setup…but took it for a spin today…

Yep. Still riding a Transition. Is it relevant compared to today’s bikes, not for most, but for me, very much so. Nothing special about it really, but it fits, it’s comfortable and I still place regularly in my old man’s group. Do I have fun on it? Yep. Believe me, I still salivate over the newer bikes, but I honestly believe I would not be any faster.

I bought Transition used about three years ago. Put a TriRig front end on it. I have considered buying a new bike a few times in the last year. Most recently, I got a bad case of new bike fever about three months ago. But I looked at prices and what it would take to get a new one, even an “entry level” bike. I decided I’m going to keep the Transition. This isn’t a great pic – the other bike in the photo is my wife’s.

Shameless trolling of all those in the northern hemisphere. Just registered and racked for first race of the year tomorrow. Toing the line with Hayden W and Hannah Berry at their home race.

First time I’ve needed a hydration strategy for registration…… Yesterday was 27 degrees and 90% humidity.

Coming for the guy that gets made at me for doing articles on NICE things

This is a great set up.

You better beat Hayden. Set the tone for 2026. That bike is sick…good luck Dunc!

Works just fine after all these years. Blends perfectly with the TriRig Omega One Brakes.

I LOVED THAT BIKE!!!
